Turf training for State League and Pennant will commence at the State Hockey Centre on Feb 14th, continuing Tue & Thurs till the end of March. For all the latest dates and details on pre season training, please check out the Women’s Pre Season Calendar 2012
Any questions or you’d like to get involved, please contact us at secretarywomenphsk@gmail.com
Winter season training at Albert Park will commence in the first week of APRIL on Tuesday (7-8:30pm) and Thursday (8-9:30pm) nights. Specific times for teams will be published shortly.
Please note each team will have a designated night/s for training where all players of the team are encouraged to attend. We encourage all players to train at least once a week, twice a week in the more competitive State League and Pennant competitions. If you attend training on a night that is not your team’s designated time slot, players will be included in other coaching sessions in a lower or higher grade depending on ability, player numbers and coaches available.
News for Metro players……based on feedback from players we have secured our top 2 coaches assistance in taking metro training once a fortnight. The committee is also looking to secure a Pennant D and Metro training coach. This will hopefully improve the standard of training at all levels within the club and encourage attendance at training by our metro players. Jim & Jessie will also assist Metro training coach, captains and managers in supplying training drills amd sessions that will also improve the standard of training for our Metro players.
For Juniors…. Our junior members are encouraged to attend for the first hour of senior training on Tuesday night (7-8pm following junior training) from 1st April (at Albert Park) and are also encouraged to play in the senior competition.
